Counter Configuration
The WMI Counter View shows scanned counters for the active computer.
For each listed counter in the
view, you can manually configure the data type and filtering.

WMI Counter View
Using the bottom toolbar, you can:

WMI Objects Scan:
Scan the selected computer for the published WMI counters.

Stop Scan:
Stop an active counter scan.
|
 |
Check All:
Check all scanned/added counters.

Uncheck All:
Uncheck all scanned/added counters.

You can use the "WMI Objects Scan" button to add counters. Clicking on it, you'll be
presented with a dialog that allows you to choose which counter classes you would like
to scan the computer for.
To edit or remove a particular counter, select a counter and use the buttons on the
top toolbar or right-click the counter and choose the corresponding option on the
context menu.

If you choose to edit a counter's properties, a detailed counter
configuration dialog box will be displayed:

You can customize the following counter settings:

OPC Name: Name that will be used by the server to publish this counter.

Data Type: Type of the data of this counter, i.e., whether this counter
is a character string or a numerical value.

1st Order Filter: Check
to create an additional tag (with "_Filtered" in the name) that
applies a low pass filter in this item. This is only available
for numerical variables. |
After you edit the counter, click on the "OK" button
to close the dialog and update the item settings. If you want to
discard all changes, click on the "Cancel" button to close the
dialog.
