Using the FrontEnd
Performance Tags Configuration
The Performance Tags are predefined formatted tags
calculated from Raw Tags.
The SNMP Tools FronEnd can automatically detect
all needed Raw Tags and configure them for
you. All Performance Tags are calculated in
server, with wraparound protection, being unnecessary client
configuration. All suported tags are listed below:
-
Interface Broadcast Rate: Percentual number of sent and
received broadcast packets. It is a ratio calculated using
Interface Packet Rate tag.
-
Interface Data Rate: Total traffic data number in bytes. This
tag is computed using the total sent and received packets from
this interface.
-
Interface Efectiveness: Percentual volume packets discarded
because of errors. Indicates the ratio between discarded
packets and
Interface Packet Rate.
-
Interface Health: A percentual variable calculated using
Interface Broadcast Rate,
Interface Link Status and
Interface Efectiveness. Each of these tags has
an
adjust, allowing you to make the best configuration. Then,
health is computed multiplying all source tags, allowing a
unique tag to break the health.
-
Interface Link Status: Indicates the status of the interface.
0 indicates that this interface is inactive while 1 indicates
that is active.
-
Interface Packet Rate: Total number of sent and received
packets in this interface.
-
Interface Unicast Rate: Percentual volume of unicast packets.
Ratio between sent and received unicast packets and
Interface Packet Rate tag.
-
Interface Usage: Interface percentual utilization. Computed
using the interface speed and total communication(input/output)
in bytes.

The Performance Tag List
There are four columns in the Performance Tags
list:
-
Enable: Indicates if the server scan is active for the current
tag.
-
Tag Name: Shows the defined tag name for the current tag.
-
Tag Type: Informs the type of the tag.
-
Tag Description: An explain text for the tag.
The Tag Properties dialog for
Performance Tags allows you to configure a tag.
Tag Name and Tag Description fields
described above can be changed here. You can configure the
Performance field too for the device performance
indicators inclusion.
