arrow Quick Configuration

Before you can monitor your SNMP Devices, the server must be configured, so you will have to define which devices should be monitored and choose all settings to achieve a good configuration. All settings and device configuration can be made using XR SNMP Tools FrontEnd, which is a standalone application that configures the main OPC Server. These steps will show you how to build a simple configuration file for monitoring network devices.

If your server status indicates Scan Overlap, you need to change some device-specific configuration settings. Please refer to detailed Server configuration section for information on how to do that.

You need to start a client to read the information from the server. You can use either XR Tag Explorer or any OPC client (on OPC versions). To use XR Tag Explorer, open it and click on Add New Panel.
