The Computer Tags window

The Tag Properties Toolbar has 5 buttons:

bullet Add Tag: Add a Raw or a User tag.

bullet Tag Properties: Shows all properties of the selected tag.

bullet Remove Tag: Delete all selected tags.

bullet Enable All Tags: Marks all scanned/added variables. When prompted for avoiding Dynamic Table elements, the system will not select items belonging to dynamic tables. This is necessary to avoid slowdowns in data acquisition, since dynamic items can be taken offline anytime.

bullet Disable All Tags: Deactivate the server scan for all tags in this tab.

Below the Tag Properties Toolbar we have the Search Bar. This bar filters all tags by the column selected in the Search in drop-down list using the match expression in the Look For box.

The filter system

Three tabs are found. They classifies all tags:

bullet Performance Tags

bullet Raw Tags

bullet User Tags

Below these three tabs, exists a Drag-and-drop grouping bar. To use it, drag a column header on it. Then, all tags will group by that column.

You can group tags using more than one column. For example: to group tags by Tag Type and secondly by Enable column, drag the Tag Type column to filter and then, drag the Enable column too. More than two classification are possible.

When dragging a column to it, two green arrows will appears indicating the column position. This feature allow you to manage easily your groups.

Using the Drag-and-drop grouping bar

In the right of a column header you will find a triangle in high relief for sort tags.

Sorting groups are allowed too. To make this possible, click on the high relief triangle in the right of each column in the drag-and-drop grouping bar.

Finally, below the Tag List we have the Tag Actions Toolbar. This toolbar has only 3 buttons:

bullet Scan Performance Tags: Scan the currrent computer for Performance tags.

bullet Scan WMI Objects: Scans the selected computer for published WMI counters, adding they in the Raw tags.

bullet Stop Scan: Stop current scan.

When using XRatel Historian Service is possible to trigger alarms for certain tag's values. Note that this function can be active only when a tag is added into XRatel Historian Service. You can configure alarm fields in Tag Properties dialog. All types of tags can send alarms.

To enable an alarm trigger click on Tag Alarm checkbox, select limit type (under or over) and set the limit of this tag value in Limit field. In example, you can configure Interface Health tag to trigger when its value is under 80%, so it is necessary to check Tag Alarm field, select under in the drop-down menu and then insert value "80" into Limit field.
