Test Information

This is a real test case using the server to monitor some SNMP devices over a slow network.

In a typical network environment there are equipments from many vendors and consequently different implementations of SNMP protocol which may interfere in performance, plus not all devices supports SNMPv2 which is known to be a faster implementation than SNMPv1.

Tested Network Environment

Server Network Usage

XRatel SNMP OPC/DDE Server server sucessfully monitored 816 SNMP items every second in 50 devices with low resource usage. This situation can be easily reproduced by tuning the server profile and scanning only useful items.
