In the third step, XRatel SNMP Server Configuration will attempt to find all SNMP compliant devices within your subnet range. Go to next step when Scan complete will be displayed.
In the fourth step, all devices found will be listed. Select devices you wish to monitor and go to the next step.
Now, Device Browsing will scan for network interfaces in all devices selected for monitoring. Go to the next step when the scan is completed.
All network interfaces found in all devices will be listed in step 6. XRatel SNMP Serve Configuration will create Performance Tags for all listed interfaces.
Device Browsing
Go ahead to the next step and complete the setup clicking on Finish.
Now, select the tags you want to monitor in "Enable" column box (these selected tags will be also available through OPC protocol). To monitor these tags with Tag Explorer and Health Analyst, you must also select the "History" column box (Tag Explorer and Health Analyst only monitor tags available through History Service).
Performance Tags Activation
Click on Activate Profile button to update the server and reflect this new configuration. Then, confirm the publish clicking on Yes.
Profile Activation
Start the server with XRatel SNMP Server Monitor and review its configuration. Probably you'll need to Reload the Server, clicking on Reload Server button. In screenshot below, it is scanning three devices and current Server Status is Normal.
Server Main Window
If your server status indicates Scan Overlap, you need to change some device-specific configuration settings. Please refer to for information on how to do that.
To execute the History Server go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and find XRatel SNMP Data Historian Service, and with a right click a pop up menu will open, then click into start.
