You can configure whether or not alarms should be triggered for a specific tag and the threshold for triggering alarms in the tag Properties dialog.

There are also global settings for alarms, available in the Profile Settings dialog (accessible via Profile -> General Settings).

You can specify the amount of time to wait before triggering a new alarm. In the bottom group you can specify all settings to send alarm notifications through e-mail. These are:

Source E-mail Address: E-Mail address to be used as sender.

Destination E-mail Address: E-Mail address to be used as recipient (destination).

SMTP Server Address: The host name or IP address of SMTP server used to send e-mail.

SMTP Server Port: TCP port used for connecting to the SMTP server(default: 25).

SMTP Server Username: Username used for authentication in the SMTP server.

SMTP Server Password: Password used for authentication in the SMTP server.

The Test E-mail Settings button tests e-mail settings sending a test e-mail for the configured destination.
