Using Tag Explorer

[ Main Window | Panel Management | Time Management | Profile Management | Tag Explorer Operation ]

Panel Management

In Tag Explorer, data can be viewed in panels. Panels can plot charts, show current values and display alarms. To simplify data view, Tag Explorer can manage a lot of panels at the same time, displaying only needed panels, but maintaining others available by a single click.

To add a panel, click on Add New Panel in the top toolbar.

Then, Add Panel Wizard will open to simplify panel creation. Insert a name for the new panel in Panel Name. Then, insert the Historian Server IP address in Server Host. You can browse your network to find the server clicking on Browse button.

Fill Server Port field with the port used by Historian Server. SNMP Historian Service and XRatel PerfMon Historian Service use ports 2202 and 2204 respectively by default. Go to the next step clicking on" Next" and, finally, click on "Finish" to create this panel.

Every visible panel will be accessible via tabs localized above it. But this is not the only way to organize they. You can dock panels everywhere in your window or stay they floating on your desktop. To arrange that, click and hold on panel caption and move to selected position.
