       Probes Settings

Probe Toolbar

 

The Probe Toolbar contain all buttons used to manage Probes. This toolbar has 7 buttons:

 

Scan Predefined Probes: Scan the current device for Predefined Probes.

 

Scan Raw Probes: Scans the selected device for variables present in MIB database or in WMI Classes, adding them in the Raw Probes tab.

 

Abort Scan: Abort current scan.

 

User Defined Probe: Add an new Probe using the current device's Raw Probes.

 

Remove Probe: Delete all selected Probes.

 

Probe Properties: Shows all properties of the selected Probe.

 

Activate Profile: used to activate all changes on XRatel OPC Server. Notice that after doing it the list with found Probes will be clear, remaining only activated ones.

 

Three tabs are found. They classify all Probes:

 

Predefined Probes

 

Raw Probes

 

User Defined Probes

 

Below these three tabs, exists a Drag-and-drop grouping bar. To use it, drag a column header on it. Then, all Probes will group by that column.

 

You can group Probes using more than one column. For example: to group Probes by Probe Type and secondly by Enable column, drag the Probe Type column to filter and then, drag the Enable column too. More than two classifications are possible.

 

When dragging a column to it, two green arrows will appears indicating the column position. This feature allows you to manage easily your groups.

 

Finally we have the Search Bar. This bar filters all Probes by the column selected in the Search in drop-down list using the match expression in the Look For box.

In the right of a column header you will find a triangle in high relief for sort Probes.

 

Sorting groups are allowed too. To make this possible, click on the high relief triangle in the right of each column in the drag-and-drop grouping bar.

 

Using the grid you can easily copy probe information to clipboard. You just have to select what you want to copy and type CTRL+C. After that the content will be available on clipboard.
