       OPC Client

 

OPC Clients are applications that can connect to OPC Servers and extract all needed information.

 

One OPC Client can connect to OPC Servers from different vendors and differents clients can connect

to one Server. But, what are OPC Servers and OPC Clients?

 

Clients can define objects in OPC Servers.

 

The above figure shows an example connection:

The client created 2 groups, each one with 2 items. Notice that the namespace is the same for all clients.
