Server Quick Start

With XRatel Server Config opened, the first step is to find all devices that should be monitored. To detect all devices on your network, press the Scan Devices button, on Device Toolbar.

At the second step, configure the IP Range or just click on Next to find devices in your subnet range.

In the third step, XRatel Server Config will attempt to find all compliant devices within your subnet range. When Scan complete appear, select the devices you wish to monitor and go to next step.

Now, Device Browsing will scan for network interfaces in all devices selected for monitoring. All network interfaces found in all devices will be listed and XRatel Server Config will create Predefined Probes for all listed interfaces. Then, complete the setup clicking on Finish.
Now, select the Probes you want to monitor in "Enable" column box. To monitor these Probes with Probe Explorer, Health Analyst and Report, you must also select the "History" column box (Tag Explorer, Health Analyst and Report only monitor Probes available through History Service).

Click on Activate Profile button to update the server and activate this new configuration. Then, confirm the publish clicking on Yes.

Start the server with XRatel OPC Server Monitor and review its configuration. Probably you'll need to Reload the Server clicking on Reload Server button.

If your server status indicates Scan Overlap, you need to change some device-specific configuration settings. Please refer to detailed server configuration section for information about how to do that.
To manage the History Server you can go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and find XRatel Historian Service, and with a right click a pop up menu will open, then you can start, stop or restart the Server.
