Overview
XRatel IT Health OPC Server delivers for OPC clients real-time performance data from computers and networks. Any OPC DA client can be used, such as a HMI, SCADA, PIMS, ERP, spreadsheets, etc. The software has been built using a multi-threaded core and an optimized data sampling algorithm, providing high performance operation. XRatel IT Health OPC Server gives to users with already implemented SCADA and PIMS solutions, a cheap, flexible and reliable solution to monitor critical mission networks, servers and workstations. Network Monitoring XRatel IT Health OPC Server monitors network traffic and bandwidth usage as well as many other network parameters as error rates, collision rates, etc. You can also monitor many other aspects of managed switches, printers, and other network components as long as they are SNMP enabled. Generating many KPIs, such as device's overall performance and Network Health, it provides valuable information for system administrators to optimize the efficiency, layout and setup of WAN and LAN links, routers, servers and other network components. It also monitors the downtime and access time of unmanageable devices. Computer Monitoring XRatel IT Health OPC Server also monitors MS Windows computers using WMI technology (local or remote monitoring), providing the necessary information for system administrators to manage computer servers and workstations. It can get from a computer more than one million different variables, including:
Users can create custom probes that calculate any expression involving WMI variables and statistical probes are automatically generated, as the health probe, which expresses the overall status of a specific computer. Support for non-MS Windows computers is also available. Predefined Data Raw SNMP and WMI data can be difficult to analyze. XRatel IT Health OPC Server gathers raw data from devices and continually performs statistical calculations to generate useful information, such as bandwidth utilization, error rate statistics, memory and disk utilization and computer/network health. End users can quickly summarize the status of their network and servers by using XRatel IT Health OPC Server Predefined Probes. The Health Probe calculation is based on leading indicators for the entire network or computers and XRatel IT Health OPC Server allows the user to easily establish the importance of each indicator.
User Defined Probes Users can also create user defined tags that calculate custom expressions. This feature gives much more flexibility to the user, allowing him to create probes using either WMI or SNMP raw probes or SNMP traps. Devices Hierarchy XRatel devices hierarchy system gives the IT administrator total flexibility
to reflect in the monitoring environment the network's topology, the geographic
distribution of its servers or any other grouping aspect of its system.
Configuration The software configuration is very simple with a embedded configuration wizard. This wizard automatically retains IP address, determines IP range and scans the network. User can also manually set IP scan range. After this, Predefined Probes are automatically scanned and the Server is updated. There is another wizard in Server Configuration that helps you create custom expressions (User Defined Probes). Features
