XRatel Performance Suite 5.0 Computer and network monitoring for high demand environments |
||
|
Overview
XRatel Performance Suite is a complete system monitoring solution, covering networks, computer servers and workstations. XRatel Performance Suite allows users to access from any computer in the network powerful and meaningful real-time and historical graphics, generate and register alarm and events, log and automatically send e-mail messages. It is easy to install and configure and there is no need to use local agents or data providers. It joins in the same product high performance, flexibility and reliability. Network Monitoring XRatel Performance Suite monitors network traffic and bandwidth usage as well as many other network parameters like error rates, collision rates, etc. You can also monitor many other aspects of managed switches, printers, and other network components as long as they are SNMP enabled. Generating many KPIs, such as device's overall performance and Network Health, it provides valuable information for system administrators to optimize the efficiency, layout and setup of WAN and LAN links, routers, servers and other network components. It also monitors the downtime and access time of unmanageable devices. Computer Monitoring XRatel Performance Suite also monitors MS Windows computers using WMI technology (local or remote monitoring), providing the necessary information for system administrators to manage computer servers and workstations. It can get from a computer more than one million different variables, including:
Users can create custom probes that calculate any expression involving WMI variables and predefined probes are automatically generated, as the health probe, which expresses the overall status of a specific computer. Support for non-MS Windows computers is also available. High End Architecture XRatel Performance Suite has been built using a multi-threaded core and an optimized data
sampling algorithm, providing high performance operation. All historical data is stored in a
built-in database engine, and an external database is not required.
It also uses a client server architecture
that lets you have as many monitoring stations as you want connecting to the monitoring server.
You can also connect to XRatel monitoring server using any OPC DA client,
giving even more flexibility to your Network Management System.
XRatel Performance Suite gives the user a flexible and reliable
solution to monitor critical mission networks, servers and workstations, even
if you have a large sized application or environment. It was designed
to meet all business, office and industrial requirements.
Performance Data Raw SNMP and WMI data can be difficult to analyze. XRatel Performance Suite
gathers raw data from devices and continually performs statistical calculations
to generate useful performance data, such as bandwidth utilization, error rate
statistics, memory and disk utilization and computer/network health. End users
can quickly summarize the status of their network and servers by using XRatel
Performance Suite predefined probes. The Health Probe calculation is based on leading
indicators for the entire network or computers and XRatel Performance Suite allows
the user to easily establish the importance of each indicator.
User Defined Probes Users can also create user defined probes that calculate custom expressions. This feature gives much more flexibility to the product, allowing new probes creation using either WMI or SNMP raw probes or SNMP traps.
Devices Hierarchy XRatel devices hierarchy system gives the IT administrator total flexibility to reflect in
the monitoring environment the network's topology, the geographic distribution of its
servers or any other grouping aspect of its system.
Probe Explorer XRatel Performance Suite Probe Explorer is a powerful tool for data visualization, monitoring,
analysis and management. Health Analyst Health Analyst is a graphic module for viewing the health of devices, network links and
the overall system. Health Analyst automatically gets from XRatel monitoring server the
system's device hierarchy and shows, for each monitored equipment or network link, the
health trend on the last hour, day, week or month. It also shows the same trend of each
health component, making fault analysis work easier. XRatel Reports XRatel Reports provides to the user the ability to generate customized html reports, with
valuable information about each probe considered. The reports can be put available at any web
server, giving access to all information monitored by XRatel through any browser. For that, the
user selects the variable and some parameters, getting access to the charts for that probe and
its main statistics, including minimum,
maximum, average values and the availability of it on a specific timeframe. The reports can
be created on demand or scheduled with many recurrence options. Configuration The software configuration is made very simple with the embedded configuration wizards for the Server Configuration. The Scan Devices feature automatically retains IP address, determines IP range and scans the network. User can also manually set IP scan range. After this, predefined probes are automatically scanned and the Server is updated. There is another wizard in Server Configuration that helps you create custom expressions for User Defined Probes. Features
Product Technical Support and Upgrades XRatel Performance Suite 5.0 includes free upgrades for new releases within 01 (one) year after
license purchase. After this period, you must contract
XRatel SMS (Service, Maintenance and Support) for XRatel Performance Suite to receive upgrades.
Note: For the license types in which XRatel SMS is not available (up to 10 and up to 50 probes), free E-mail support will be available within 90 (ninety) days after software purchase. After this period, only other support resources will be available, such as User Forum, XRatel FAQ, Online Manuals and Knowledge Base.
