After first year, XRatel Software offers users its SMS (Service, Maintenance, and Support) program, which grants users one additional year of free upgrades and free technical support.

XRatel SMS Agreement Terms

I. All license types of XRatel IT Health OPC Server 5.0 and XRatel Performance Suite 5.0 are supported, except XRatel Performance Suite – 10 probes and XRatel Performance Suite – 50 probes. There is no XRatel SMS option for these two license types; e-mail support is only available within 90 (ninety) days after purchase. For the other license types, XRatel SMS can be separately purchased when free upgrades and e-mail support period finishes (one year after purchase).

II. This Service is provided for one year from XRatel SMS purchase date.

III. Technical support is limited to the reporting and bug fixes on product defects, and installation & configuration assistance. All contacts for questions, reporting and assistance are made by e-mail.

IV. All Updates & Upgrades (bug fixes, maintenance releases, and new feature versions) are included; any optional plug-ins, add-ons, and new product offerings are not included along with this Agreement.

V. This Service Agreement cannot be transferred or assigned. It only applies to the specific covered product(s) duly licensed from XRatel.

VI. This Agreement does not cover third-party software or hardware, even if they are running or interfacing to XRatel products. It also does not cover the use of XRatel software in unsupported environments.

VII. XRatel’s cumulative liability to you or any other party for any loss or damages resulting from any claims, demands or actions arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall not exceed the amount paid to XRatel for this Service Agreement.
